Special
electrode for all Aluminum
Welds easily all aluminum including aluminum alloyed
with silicon, copper or magnesium, both sheet and cast
, even in dissimilar combinations between them. Welds
are stronger than pure aluminum, dense and without porosity.
Slag is easily removable. The electrode can also be applied
by flame. Ideal for repairs on medium-high thickness.

Low
Temp Soldering Alloys For Dissimilar Metals
Thanks to its formulation and its low temperature application
(200 °C), it allows an easy soldering of all metals,
included zinc die cast, pewter, aluminum, copper, brass
and steel, also in dissimilar combinations between them.
Ideal for repairing of all difficult to weld metals like
zinc die cast (ZAMAK), pewter, pot metal and aluminum
or very dissimilar combinations like aluminum to steel,
aluminum to copper, etc. To be used with its special
flux Malloy Flux 52.

Nowadays
Aluminum is increasingly used as an alternative to steel
or other metals. This is due to its many advantages such
as lightweight, ease to produce complex shapes through casting,
lower cost compared to other metals, etc. But from the point
of view of repairing, it shows some drawbacks that make it
difficult to weld. The two most important are:
•
The absence of color changing ( as a temperature guide) when
heated during welding. It doesn't turn red like other metals,
and once reached 650 °C, it liquefies quickly and the piece
is irreparably damaged, instead to be repaired.
•
The aluminum oxide which forms quickly in contact with air
on its surface. This oxide layer is very hard and has a melting
temperature of over 2000 °C, which is more than three times
that of aluminum. So it must be removed to allow welding,
but it is difficult to do. In addition, it tends to absorb
hydrogen from moisture, oil, paint or dirt, causing porosity
during welding.
For these troubles in Aluminum welding, most workshops in
the past have recommended to replace broken parts with expensive
new ones, rather than repairing them. But fortunately time
have changed! Now is no more necessary to throw away broken
parts, because MALLOY has developed a range of technologically
advanced products to easily and quickly repair all aluminum
parts: MALLOY 56 and MALLOY 52 for
flame applications, and MALLOY 550 for electric
arc.
MALLOY 56 is
a universal brazing alloy for all aluminum, to be applied
with its special FLUX. This flux has the ability to eliminate
the oxide and dirt on the surface, but also to indicate the
right temperature to apply the rod, which is reached when
the flux changes from powder to liquid state. This temperature
is about 150°C lower than aluminum, thus offering a very
high safety margin. In addition MALLOY FLUX 56 increases
the fluidity of the alloy, allowing capillary brazing, very
useful in repairing applications especially on thin sheets
or pipes joints.
MALLOY 52 is
a special soldering alloy that melts at 200 °C and can join
aluminum, and all other metals, including dissimilar combinations
between them. In particular, it is able to join all zinc
die cast alloys. It is applied in conjunction with its special
flux MALLOY 52, which acts as deoxidizer
and temperature guide to indicate the right moment to apply
the rod, which occurs when the liquid flux start bubbling
changes its color.
MALLOY 550 is
a universal electrode with a special long shelf life flux
coating for welding all aluminum. It can be easily applied
with a DC welding machine, or even with flame.
With these MALLOY special products you can easily and quickly
repair any piece of aluminum, without having to replace it
with a new one.
This means SAVE TIME AND MONEY!
